Sekiwake Aelus is Grand Champion

Having made his first appearance at the SLCC demo matches just yesterday, today Aelus Janus took top honors winning both the Summer Grand Basho West as well as the entire Summer Grand Basho. This is the second time a relative new comer has been Grand Champion of a basho.
The east event had a 3 way tie for champion: Neon, Derrick and Aiko. The west event had a tie for champion: Aelus and ZATZAi. Both Aelus and ZATZAi received 5 quality points during the west event so they were tied for Grand Champion of the entire basho. A tie breaker match was fought and Aelus won. With his 4 points awarded, Aelus went from Komusubi to Sekiwake in one day.
